MJ never good: The use of mj is never good.  The ssri may be more sedating or anxiety provoking if used with mj.  Talk to your doctor about mj as well as tobacco cessation

Stop smoking: First of all, cigarettes have life threatening side effects!
best way is cold turkey. Other natural options including timed decrease ( ie weaning) hypnosis. There are prescription drugs available to help if these natural options dont work.

No: Nicotine isn't tested for on the five panel test, but are you concerned about nicotine? I take it, you have a DOT safety sensitive job. You might not be allowed to smoke at work, but you didn't violate for nicotine. You violated for another substance, if you have already been referred to a SAP-Substance Abuse Professional. The test shouldn't take long before you will have the results.

Tobacco smoking could certainly be considered recreational drug use, as can drinking alcohol and using opiates for mood-alteration rather than pain treatment.

Whle I do not: Have scientific facts, I have personal testimony rfom patients who were heroin users and smokers...They say ditching heroin was easier.  Drug detox centers often do not require addicts to quit smoking before their "substance of choice" acknowledging that it is too tough to do both at the same time.
