Good prognosis: Macular amyloidosis is a local proliferation on the skin usually on the trunk as you have.  It never spreads too much or into the blood.  The treatment may be as simple as temovate (clobetasol) ointment twice daily to local cortisone injections, local liquid nitrogen, dermabrasion or laser treatment.

: I assume you have no evidence of primary amyloidosis as caused by a plasma cell bone marrow disease causing abnormal immunoglobulin light chains in the serum eventually causing kidney,heart,peripheral nerves,skin (&amp;many other organs) to be damaged by amyloid deposits. I have seen one case whose macular amyloid deposits in the skin disappeared after chemotherapy. Localized MA more common in India
