i've seen vitamin supplements marketed as "stress formula" - usually w/higher doses of b vitamins. are these safe to use and do they work for stress?

Don't waste money!: There is so much false hype in marketing vitamins. No vitamins will have any effect on stress. If  you eat a normal diet and not pregnant, you probably don't need vitamin supplements. But if you feel you might benefit, choose the cheapest multivitamin on the shelf and ignore claims like stress reduction, improved energy, immune system boosting, etc.

used ferrimed iron and neurobion vitamin b complex tablets for more than 6 months now- stopped when i realised the sores on my gums may be a result of too much of these medication?

Too many: There're too many conditions that can cause these symptoms to be able to differentiate from just a list. You should be physically examined, have your health history and medication history evaluated, you may need x-rays, you may need lab tests. See BOTH your General Physician and your General Dentist to begin the diagnostic process.

No: I am assuming we are talking about Vitamin B12 and likely will not effect weight but if does anything with weight will likely cause one to lose weight.

B12 injection.: Assuming you’re referring to B12...you’re unable to get an injection without a prescription, but you can buy B12 supplementation over the counter.  The sublingual preparation would most closely mimic the injection as far as rapidity of absorption.

For most people: There are some people who don't have the ability to absorb B12 through the gut, causing anemia.  This condition is rare.  Most people absorb it just fine, making injections unnecessary.  Unless you've been diagnosed with pernicious anemia you shouldn't have a problem taking oral b12.

Dehydration?: Athletes may become dehydrated and benefit from water/electrolyte solutions without caffeine. He should eat well, have healthy snacks and drink plenty of water. Sunscreen and protection from direct sunlight is advised.
