Never had success: I've used nettle root in several patients in an effort to increase free testosterone.  The supplement has never worked in my experience.  It did not lower SHBG.

Testosterone: First of all, it's important that you don't take tv commercial ads seriously.  They often talk about 'low t', like it's an epidemic.  Testosterone testing is notoriously unreliable and the actual number of people with low t is a small fraction of what advertisers want you to believe.  Therefore, for most people, it isn't necessary to boost your level.  Low libido could be from depression, stress.

Multiple factors : Many variable at play here. First is to optimize nutrition. You need healthy fats, including some saturated fat for hormone production. High body fat can cause excess estrogen which can lower testosterone. Need optimal sleep (7-8 hrs). Heavy weight training.
