That is possible.: Neti pots can reduce nasal congestion ; may help w post nasal drip. Mix ¼ tsp salt w 1 cup lukewarm water. More salt can also be used. Place solution in neti pot. Tilt head ; pour solution into 1 nostril. Blow nose lightly ; spit out any liquid that drains into throat. Repeat on other side. This can be done in am ; pm.

Nettie Pots: A nettie pot is simply a way to deliver saline or salt water to the nose.  There are several different ways to deliver saline to the nose.  You can use spray, a squirt bottle or a nettie pot.  They are all effective.  Sometimes, though, you need more.  Your doctor can help you if saline isn't sufficient.

OTC: An otc antihistamine may help (claritin, allegra, (fexofenadine) or zyrtec).

: Chronic post nasal drip is usually caused by chronic rhino-sinusitis. The treatment will depend on what causes the inflammation. Treat allergy if you have allergic rhino-sinusitis or treat the infection if you have chronic bacterial sinusitis, etc. You need to see an ENT doctor for a thorough nose exam and probably a sinus X-ray.

Yes: Get rid of anything that have caused that. Start an over the counter decongestant. If symptoms don't improve see an allergist.

Nasal spray: It is possible you were prescribed a steroid nasal spray. The effect of such sprays is not immediate. Rather it takes a few weeks for changes like reduced intranasally swelling and decreased mucous production to be noticed.

started budesonide (pulmicort) respules / ampules in saline (.5mg/2ml respules in 8oz saline) as a nasal irrigation / neti pot solution. 7 days later i developed a boil on my hip.  is it possible that the boil was from budesonide immunosuppression?

Symptoms: Am not sure what the actual question is. Congestion – saline nose drops or netti pot. For anti-inflammatory effect &amp; mobilizing mucus- homemade chicken noodle soup.  Hydrate- lots of water/clear broth/ add honey &amp; a small amt. of lemon juice to Chamomile tea. Fever/ pain – acetaminophen / NSAID’s  Rest!!

i am experiencing  nasal congestion (stuffiness), nasal drainage, post nasal drip, chills. on aura amoxicillin 3x500. can i take advil sinus?

Yes you can: unless you have a contraindication, like hypertension, but no interaction with amoxicillin, rest and fluids are important too together with saline nasal washes, would help you out, if no improvement, call or visit your doctor
