what makes a nerve twitch in your head?

Muscle twitch: Muscle twitch could be any where including face area. This could be related to hypersensitivity of muscles. Few causes are high caffeine intake, anti psychotics, drugs and injury. Most of the time if you eliminate the cause, twitch gets better. Botox and similar injections are also helpful.

Inside your head?: Not muscle fasiculations that are superficial. If inside the head - I don't know.

Muscle twitching: This sounds like an irritable, superficial nerve or muscle fibers of uncertain etiology. It commonly occurs in an eyelid. I doubt it is anything serious in view of the absence of other neurological symptoms. Try avoiding caffeine and see your physician if the symptoms persist or worsen.

Muscles jump: Irritable nerves may make scalp and/or facial muscles twitch. Many possibilities here: tourette's disease, sleep deprivation, low blood calcium, magnesium, blood sugar, cafeine, illicit stimulants (crack etc).

Seizures?: If you mean that you are experiencing a strange sensation in your head followed by involuntary movements of your leg/legs, you should see your doctor. An eeg may be needed to evaluate further.

Rapid Eyelid itching: Allergic reaction to the medications may occur after the injection such as itching, rash, etc. depending on the medications used. Usually they are mild/moderate, and can be treated with anti-pruritic medication. 
The pink at the injection site may be due to the needle injection and fade over a period of time unless it is severe. If the above symptoms persist, you need to contact your physician.

: Classically, generalized true fasciculations could be due to motor neuron diseases, benign fasciculations, and hyperthyroidism.  If not yet done, get thyroid studies completed.  If you possess a lack of confidence in currently involved physicians, get a second opinion from a neuromuscular specialist.

have had widespread nerve pain, fatigue, brain fog, spasms and twitching for about 2 years. normal head and c-spine mri, normal emg and nerve conduction study. what could it be? doc suggested spinal tap to look for inflammation - what could that find?

: Have NO clue what your doctor is thinking, but do think this is a good idea for the next step.  Discuss what specific tests are being ordered and what the diagnostic thoughts are.
