No: There are no home or allopathic Rxs.For stone this size,it will give trouble,often infection.Treatment could be given by percutaneous surgery or by retrograde endoscopic flexible pyeloscopy by a urologist experienced in this.Rarely lower pole hemi-nephrectomy(taking lower pole of kidney out) is indicated.Limited space for details.See a urologist.Good luck.

Kidney stones: You shouldl find out the type of stone and take supplements accordingly . For example, if the stones are acidic, you need something basic like carbonate or baking soda. The indian herb chanca piedra is also helpful to prevent recurrence.

Probably not surgery: Extra-corporal shockwave lithotripsy, ESWL, does not involve any incision although performed under anesthesia or conscious sedation. Stone is too large to pass spontaneously &amp; can not be cured with medication. U also need a metabolic work up with 24 hour quantitative &amp; qualitative urine analysis to find out why you developed stone in first place &amp; how to prevent recurrence.

Masturbation & Ill: Yes, of course. If you are feeling up to it and not having intolerable pain there is no reason to worry or be concerned about masturbating when you are treating a kidney stone.

Need to drink water: If it is the first time you had the kidney stone usually there is no need for further testing. Taking protein supplements may cause stones but more important is to drink plenty of water. Urine should look clear. Also need to lower salt intake. Check with your doctor for specific dietary restrictions.

Sort of: There is a medicine called Actigall (ursodiol) that helps some people.  It only works on certain types of gallstones, and if it works, it is needed for life because the stones will re-form if it is stopped.  Nothing is necessary if you are not having problems with it though.  Most people who have symptoms decide to have the GB removed.

Here are some ...: Have the treating Doc check her out now or asap if her GI-related Sx is stone-related or drugs or both together or some other reasons so to decide if she needs intervention for the currently offending stone now.
