VERY DIFFERENT: Both ms and lupus are immune mediated inflammatory disorders, and your neck issues most likely due to degenerative or traumatic etiologies.  None of these are related to each other, and in fact, your symptoms may indeed be due to post-operative complications such as scarring.  An expert neurologist can readily sort out and categorize your issues, and may be worthwhile to have a consultation.

my uncle & great aunt on dads side had ms.  for last week my neck arms and legs ache, pains & left arm heavy. also quite dizzy & lethargic. v. anxious?

Unlikely MS: First, MS is NOT a genetic disorder.  Second, your symptoms could be due to many causes, and none are specific for MS.  Third, see your doctor about your complaints, and get these assessed and treated.
Fourth, if this is insufficient, schedule Concierge Visit, and we will go further.

CONSIDER THIS: You appear to have diabetes, and there is a rather high incidence of peripheral neuropathy with Type 2.  You might have neck issues, such as cervical spondylosis.  The bilateral upper arm pain issue is not usually encountered in MS patients.  Would search for other answers.

Maybe: MS is big mimicker across different ages, and it can be over diagnosed. I suggest to write your symptoms over the years and visit a neurologist, and you might need MRI.

Unlikely to be MS as: More common diagnoses like carpal t syndrome, cubital t syndrome, are far more common. Others, like a c spine injury/lesion would need to be excluded. All these could be investigated/treated by your orthopod. Consult him/her.

Some thoughts: Would consider possible cervical spine issues and get this checked with mri.  You could possess a peripheral neuropathy, and could even have b-12 problems.  The stiffness and shaking bring up parkinson's.  This does not sound like ms.  Please seek out an experienced neurologist, and get this pinned down.

Suggest: Have your doctor check it out, as you may have a discogenic compression affecting a nerve rootlet in your spinal area, and the arm pain is a referred symptom.  If so, physical therapy using motorized cervical traction could be very helpful.

i keep getting left arm pain between shoulder and elbow. i have osteoarthritis in the neck. is that why?

Possibly: You could have an arthritic bone spur pushing on a nerve causing pain in that area.  The other cause that is common is to have a rotator cuff problem in your shoulder that can often cause a referred pain in that area.  A detailed exam can usually determine the cause, don't hesitate to be seen.
