Hypothyroidism: Hi. As residual endogenous thyroid function falls, dosage adjustments may become necessary. Just don't check too often. Be on a dose for 8 weeks before testing the labs and make sure you're taking your dose everyday. If labs are checked after too short an interval, the body is not yet equilibrated to that dose, and then a change is being made; the labs can jump all over the place. Be patient.

Yes : Increase of any medication, past the optimum dosing, can cause side effects.  This includes blood pressure medications, cholesterol meds, antidepressants, antipsychotics, you name it. 

Too much of thyroid rx can basically cause you sxs of hyperthyroidism - jittery, anxious, heart palpitations, increase blood pressure, heat intolerancek elevated heart rate, loss of appetite, loss of weight, etc.

Dr : Dr lin has some provided some excellent advice. I recommend that you never self- regulate this type of medication without consent and input from your doctor. As you are aware; there was a negative impact for your self- titration of your medication. I recommend that you contact your physician sooner rather than later.

Synthetic thyroid: Both work well but you need to calculate  dessicated thyroid differently than  synthetic. Speak with your md or an endocrinologist.

Diagnosis: Were you diagnosed by GP or Endocrinologist?  If so, did the prescribe a course of effective treatment?  If not, make an appointment now.  If the homeopathic you are taking is not working, why do you continue to take it?

Armoire thyroid: Is extract of natural thyroid from pig gland and contains T4 andt3 it is measured based on iodine content generally one discourages use of it due to the T3 (liothyronine) content  if u still want to use it same time every day and dose regulated by t sh levels only one patient in my total practice on it.

just started nature throid 1gr 4 days ago from syn. 88mcg x12 yrs. trying to get t3 (liothyronine) up. now very tired all day. how long to balance out?

Not equivalent: One gr of nature-throid contains 38 mcg of t4, 9 mcg t3. This is a dose that is lower than your previous dosage of synthroid (thyroxine).  However it is unlikely that you would feel a change in only 4 days. Getting the "t3 level up" is meaningless in most patients, and will not change how you feel.  The most important test is to make sure the TSH is normal (0.4-2.0).

i suffering from thyroid problem recently my tsh value was 0.035 what will be the dosage of medicine to take?

Depends.: That's a question the doctor that ordered the test will need to answer for you.

We need more information. If your thyroid problem is hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid) and are you on medication (levothyroxine) now, your doctor may tell you your dose will be going down.

If your problem is hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid) or another condition, that will be an entirely different conversation.

my thyroid dosage was reduced from 100mcg to 88mcg. as a result, my period came late and flow only lasted for 2 days. is dosage change the cause?

Maybe: It might be, however I assume that the MD did a TSH blood test to determine the dosage change.  Certainly, a TSH will be done after you have been on the new dosage for at least 2 months. You can journal your periods during that time for documentation to the MD when you return.
