NO: B vitamins do not have significant interactions with sunlight.  Vitamin a is a different story, as it can increase sensitivity to sunlight.

: Vitamin C &amp; D are often added or already present in food in our regular diet (i.e. cereal, milk, orange juice). The Vitamin D recommended dietary allowance (RDA) for children 4-8 years old is 600 IU/day (15µg). The upper limit is 3000 IU/day. For Vitamin C the RDA is 25 mg/day, the upper limit is 650 mg/day.

my vitamin d level is 19ng/ml the lab reference is 30-100. nih website says 20ng/ml is adequate, and above 50 has adverse effects, but md says above 30 is optimal. do i need to supplement and how much? md advised 5000 iu/day, i think it's excessive?

: Levels of 50 nmol/L (20 ng/mL) or above are adequate for bone and overall health. Levels below 30 nmol/L (12 ng/mL) are too low &amp; might weaken your bones &amp; affect your health. Levels above 125 nmol/L (50 ng/mL) are too high and can cause health problems.For you, the 19 is too low and should be increased and initially increasing with 5000 IU per day for about a month, then 1000 IU per day usually.

Fat soluble vitamins: like Vitamin E, and even fish oils (not a vitamin) can affect blood coagulation more than blood pressure per se. Discuss this with your PCP (Doctor) to see what might be affecting your blood pressure. Other supplements can be involved. Usually 400-800iu is sufficient of the d-tocopherol vs. mixed tocopherols. Also being overweight, or very underweight affects absorption of fat-soluble vitamins.

It is not needed!: You do not need to waste money buying vitamin e oil as it has very little, if any use for human body. It might even be harmful. I hope this will help to save you some money as so many people waste money using multiple vitamin supplements when all their vitamin needs can be easily met with healthy eating!

Yes: Synthetic vitamin e contains only Alpha tocopherol and this strips the brain of gamma tocopherol which can lead to increased brain hemorrhage and delta tocopherol in the liver which can lead to elevated liver enzymes.  Get a all natural mixed tocopherol with all 4 isomers.  You can also increase vitamin e in your diet by eating wheat germ, nuts, seeds, oleves asparagus green leafy vegetables.

Natural sources: Natural sources of vitamin e would be mango or almond milk barring no allergies to these foods. Spinach is also high in vitamin e. No more than 4mg or 6 ius daily. Too much vitamin e  is not good for you.
