Caloric restriction diets are the most successful treatments for PCOS women. Exercise is not even as helpful as diet.

PCOS is a metabolic problem that you inherit. You can't rid yourself of it, only minimize the syndrome.

Unhelpful: Most "natural remedies" have never been clinically tested and are unhelpful for the conditions for which they are promoted.  Mint tea will not help polycystic ovarites or hirsutism.  We all are looking for a simple way to address our health problems but this is not the way.  Best to see a real doctor with an MD degree to get a better understanding of what is happening with your body.

The best way to lose weight is to exercise and burn more calories than you eat.  Permanent lifestyle changes are better than diets.

Please see your Dr.: Although weight gain may be part of pcos, fatigue and severe leg swelling usually are not.  You need a full physical examination and maybe some labwork to get the right diagnosis first.  Then proper treatment can be determined. Please see your doctor as soon as possible.

Polycystic Ovary: Patients with pcos get Insulin resistance.  Many of those patients respond to metformin (glucophage) and many are able to get pregnant when they are started on that medication.  Their periods also get more regular.  Ask your doctor about that.

It depends: It depends upon whether you have successfully completed pubertal development. If you have, then estrogen administration will not be useful, and most over the counter supplements are good at making money for the manufacturer, but are also not helpful
