Nasal surgery : You should ask these questions to your surgeon as she/he may have particular preferences. Hopefully, you have not been using topical nasal decongestant sprays, as they should not be used long term and not before nasal surgery. Oral decongestants can be taken up to the day of surgery, if needed.

i have chronic non allergic rhinitis, my nose feels constantly congested. do angiotensin receptor blockers make this congestion worse? rhinitis is listed as a side effect, not sure if that's because of dilation of blood vessels in the nose?

: Nasal congestion is a possible side effect of ARB but each individual ARB has its own side effect, not do all ARBs have the same side effect. So the best way to find out is to ask your doctor for a different ARB as a trial.

no family history of glaucoma.recent dilated eye exam normal.can long term use of steroid nasal sprays(furoate) cause glaucoma?it causes open angle or closed angle glaucoma? doc didnt tell me that i have narrow angle. will it raise iop? am i at risk?

It depends: From what i gather, you still have sinus problems after sinus surgery. Very broadly, persistent allergies, smoking, possible need for revision surgery, problems with the immune system, ongoing exposure to germs (e.g. Kindergarten teachers), and a tendency for sinus polyps to regrow are possibilities.  Rarely is surgery a total "cure, " so it is important to follow up or maybe get a second opinion.

Many possibilities : Throat clearing is from gastric reflux, post nasal drip, too dry saliva, retained throat secretions because the pharynx can't clear them, pharyngeal diverticulitis, foreign body sensation from globus, habit, chronic nasopharyngitis, and others.  It rarely indicates a serious condition but i would be most concerned if there is coughing or choking with swallowing, hoarseness, or abnormal swallowing.

Antihistamine?: For hay fever, an OTC antihistamine may work although inhaled nasal steroid tends to work better. However you may need to see your doctor should these medications fail since not all "post-nasal" drips are caused by allergy.

Yes: If you have an allergic problem with your nose, sneezing, nasal congestion, runny nose, itchy nose, and post-nasal drips can occur in various combinations of the above.  It appears that you have asthma as well (on Dulera). Try a nasal steroid to see if it helps. If not consider seeing an allergist who will likely be able to chart a better treatment course for your nasal and lung problems.

Treat your allergy: The dose of thyroid medication you are on does not limit medications for your nose. Start with irrigating your nose with saline. If your nose is acutely congested, you can use a nasal decongestant such as oxymetazloline (Afrin) for 3-4 days. You need to use a nasal steroid for the long haul. OTC Nasacort (triamcinolone) is available, all others are by prescription. Again, no nasal decongestant beyond 4-5 days.
