Redness is a sign that something is not right with the eye. Masking it with naphcon a can sometimes lead to problems.  There are some serious conditions, such as an infection, that need specific treatments.   You should see an eye md for evaluation.

Pataday: I rx Pataday or Patanol (olopatadine) commonly.  The over the counter allergy drops may in some cases have a rebound affect which is not desirable.

Yes: These are different classes of medications.  Ofloxaxin is an antibiotic to treat bacterial infections of the eye, and naphcon a is an ocular decongestant/antihistamine that is often used for alleviating watery red itchy eyes. Although these meds may be used together, i'd advise that the more important one is ofloxacin. Treating the infection should alleviate your symptoms.  If not, c your eye md.

Yes: Naphcon won’t cause a problem but the question is why are your eyes red. It could be dryness or something else in which case Naphcon is not the best treatment. You might want to check with your eye physician.

A lot: Artificial tears attempt to replace portiond of the natural tear layer (mucous, aqueous, lipid) .  Different artificial tear replace these in different amounts.  Naphcon is an antihistamine that blocks histamine receptors, reducing allergic symptoms.
