Needs evaluation: Bruising very easily is often benign, but in some cases can be a symptom of an underlying illness, including blood clotting disorders and some cancers. Very large bruises or easy bleeding, e.g. Frequent nosebleeds, would be of particular concern. A simple evaluation including history, exam, blood counts, and labs to check blood clotting would be advisable, especially if the problem is new.

Blood tests: If she is not on blood thinners such as Aspirin she needs complete blood count including platelets, pt and ppt to evaluate her clotting ability. At 47 i would check why she bruises so easily.

: This could be one of many things and can not be diagnosed without an exam. Pl see her ped or a dermatologist. In the meantime keep the areas clean and apply cortisone cream. Hope she does well

Yes: Very likely you had a small collection of blood beneath the skin called a hematoma and/or bursitis if the affected area is in front of the kneecap. It often takes several months for the body to naturally resorb the blood and for the soft tissue to become flat and smooth again. This area is very sensitive to pressure because of the lack of fat/cushioning. You will continue to get better!

1 leg or both? Fevr?: The situation is rather complex. There are many questions to be asked &amp; we need a picture or an exam in order to understand what's going on. 21 days is an awful long time to take antibiotics. I suspect you have dermatitis (irritation of skin) rather than cellulitis (infection of skin), as the non-response to antibiotics indicates. Use HealthTap Prime or TTYD about symptoms. Good luck.

Hematoma: A hematoma is a collection of blood, usually clotted, outside of a blood vessel that may occur because of an injury to the wall of a blood vessel allowing blood to leak out into tissues where it does not belong. Sometimes your will see a bruise, other times not. Most hematomas can be treated with rest, ice, compression, and elevation (rice). They will gradually resolve over time on their own.

Bug bite?: The list here is long.  It could be anything from a bug bite to something like a superficial skin infection.  If you have no pain or itching, keep an eye on it.  If it persists or worsens, consider seeing your physician.

Many thoughts: I suspect this is not a major problem. These could be from trauma, It may actually be bruises, we could be related to medications you take. It may be related to other findings of your health system. Best to discuss with your physician.
