: Your symptoms may be due to dry air in the bedroom. Try using a humidifier in the bedroom.

2 possibilites: Your symptoms are non specific but they could represent an infectious issue vs an allergic issue.  Based on your symptoms i would lean towards an allergic cause.  You can always try an over the counter antihistamine (non-drowsy) and see if your symptoms improve.  If they don't improve you should see an ENT doctor in order to address all these issues at once.

at night when i lay down i start getting a itchy throat and a dry cough why is that  it's just nights is this a bad thing should i see a doctor ?

Not a bad thing: but need to see your doctor, airway inflammation, reflux, sinusitis, rhinitis, all those could be the cause for your symptoms, your doctor would be able to decide on management, good luck

randomly i get a cough, physically itchy throat, weird itchy spot on my back (center upper area). i dont know if its gerd or asthma. sometimes it happens when i lie down and sometimes it comes out of no where. what is the cause?

: An occasional dry cough may occur due to irritation of the airway. GERD is a common cause, and an over the counter medication is often effective. Avoid smoke exposure, allergic triggers such as dust and mold. Keep well hydrated and avoid dry cold conditions. Keep a log of symptoms, monitor temperature and breathing.

i have allergies, but now my throat is itchy and irritated. it's worse at night and when i wake up it hurts to swallow. is this normal or serious?

Could be infection: This could be either a viral infection or strep infection. If you have fevers, swollen lymph nodes and your neck, severe sore throat and no cough then see your doctor to be checked for strep. If you just have a sore throat and possibly cough and other cold symptoms it is probably viral and should go away on its own in a few days. Drink plenty of water and take ibuprofen as needed.

Missing info: Fever ? Pain ? The issue is not clear from the post. If it is painful to swallow it may be an early sign of a developing problem. If he develops fever it would be reasonable to check for strep A.

Throat exam: If the symptom is only a few days old, a viral infection could be brewing. If there is a sensation of a lump in your throat, stress and tension  can be the cause. See your physician if symptoms persist or worsen.

: Both can give these symptoms. Do warm saline gargles and take aspirin/Tylenol for a few days.and you should be better in afew days

Otitis: You may have otitis externa or otitis media, an infection of your external ear canal or middle ear. Go to your md for a checkup so they can look in your ear with a scope and see what is going on, possibly treat you with a short course of antibiotics if necessary.Good luck.
