Thigh pain: Shoulder surgery is often done in the 'beach chair' position. It can be a little awkward as a position, and, you were probably in it for at least a couple hours. In addition, if you were intubated on the drug succinylcholine, that can also cause muscle soreness. So yes,  it can be a 'normal' pain. It should go away over the next few days.

Well,...: In cold weather, our blood vessels will constrict and that can lead to increasing arthritis symptoms with lack of the normal blood flow, etc.  Muscles are more likely to ache in the cold weather for similar reasons.  Stay warm and well "insulated" with the proper weather attire clothing, and hopefully your issues will improve.  Best wishes.

With : With the limited information provided, and no way to exam you physically, your thigh pain could be related to your lower back problem.  You mention scoliosis.  Was that diagnosed as a teenager or as an adult?

Scoliosis in the adult population can be a source of stenosis.  Stenosis is a narrowing of the area where the nerve roots travel (it may be from sources other than scoliosis).  Stenosis can be a source of back and leg pain.  It may also cause numbness, tingling, weakness, or any combination of those findings.

Seeing an orthopedic surgeon who can determine whether or not your back/leg pain is from scoliosis is most important in terms of deciding on treatment.  There are numerous treatment options but they all depend on the source of pain.

Any fever, localizing tenderness, vomiting, manifestations of bleeding from vagina, urine, gut?  Please don't wait longer for evaluation.
