Atypical : Could be atypical shingles presentation, allergic dermatitis or viral infection. Consider requesting antiviral medication, if shingles it might help. Get 2 nd opinion.

i have had some little blister like bumps that appeared on my stomach last summer, they itch and won't go away. is this a form of shingles and how do i treat it?

There : There are several possibilities including folliculitis, warts, molluscum contagiosum, or eczema.  Take a look at the link below to see if they look somewhat similar to the picture.  Since they are persistent, i would recommend you consider seeing a dermatologist for definitive diagnosis and to discuss treatment options.  I hope that helps.

why could it be that someone who has the shingles gets them one right after another. like they go away in no time they are back?

? Immune system: Shingles is a herpes zoster infection.  Stress, both physical and psychological, aging and immunosuppressive therapy make attacks  more likely. Eating and sleeping well and getting regular exercise are important to help prevent recurrences. So is avoidance of alcohol, drugs and other toxins.  There is a vaccine called zostavax that you should ask your physician about which might help you.

i contacted shingles 9 days ago. i am finished with my meds given. my sores still painful. ouch! when will pain go away? should i go on another 7 days of meds prescribed?

: Unfortunately for some patients, pain can continue for weeks or more after shingles heals, a condition called post-herpetic neuralgia. Nine days is too soon to know if this is the problem or if the infection is not healing and needs more antiviral drug (valacyclovir or acyclovir). If new sores are continuing to appear, probably you need new treatment. Either way, you need to see your doctor.

Shingles Treatment: By "shingles shot" I assume you mean the vaccine.   Shingles vaccine is used to prevent occurrence of the shingles, but is not effective in treating an acute outbreak of shingles.   Antiviral medications are used to treat acute shingles outbreak.  Pain that lingers long after a shingles outbreak  is called post-herpetic neuralgia and treated with medications such as Lidoderm, Neurontin, or Lyrica (pregabalin).

Shingles: Shingles can be treated with medications which will help decrease the length of time of the outbreak as well as decrease the symptoms associated with the outbreak.  Remember though, that shingles is a reactivation of the chicken-pox virus, which lies dormant in your central nervous system.  There is no known cure for shingles at this time.

i have a recuring shingles at the same spot. pain goes and comes with otc drugs. on now for 3 weeks. will it ever go away completely. am 60 yrs.

Shingles: We may need a second  question or response here. Do you not have prescription medication to calm the shingles down and to let healing occur?  Have you not gotten the shingles  vaccine yet?

If the answer is no to either or both of those questions that is what is paramount about your next moves.
