Nerve irritation.: Statistically, median nerve compression at the wrist, AKA carpal tunnel syndrome is the most likely cause of your symptoms.  However, there are other potential causes, some more serious than others.  You need to see a doctor, get a detailed history &amp; physical exam and possibly some other tests. Cubital tunnel: A more common cause of the described symptoms is compression of the ulnar nerve behind the elbow. Tingling from ulnar nerve goes into the small and ring finger. Try wearing an elbow pad with the pad rotated around to the front of the elbow at night. This keeps the elbow from bending, thereby keeping pressure off the nerve. If symptoms persist, consult with an upper extremity surgeon. Emg helpful.
