Potentially: Since you are still in your post op period of your cataract surgery, you should see your surgeon to make sure both eyes are ok. Eye infections are contagious and can spread from one eye to the other.  Please call your ophthalmologist to be safe...

Depends: The treating ophthalmologist will discuss with you the means for dealing with a surgery which had complications.  This may involve extra use of medication, further surgery and sometimes referral to a specialist like a retinal surgeon.  In some cases time is the only thing needed as all eyes do   not heal at the same rate.

Possibly: If the eye is normal except for the cataract and had excellent vision before the cataract formed, then normal vision is the usual result.  Cataract surgery corrects cloudy optics but will not undo any retinal or corneal damage that predates the cataract removal.

Cataract surgery is performed expertly by many careful and well-trained surgeons throughout the country, and we always try to avoid an unintentional tears in the capsule, especially posteriorly, but it can happen easily because it is so delicate.

Short term: Almost all cataract surgery is done under local;  the eye protection is to cover the eye during the period when the anesthetic is still in effect to prevent accidentally poking the eye.  It is not used to promote healing.  By the next day after surgery, the cover will have been removed and with ordinary caution, the eye will heal nicely.
