Rhinitis: This is a typical trigger for non-allergic rhinitis and can be treated with appropriate medication.  An Allergist can help.

ENT!: You need a good ENT evaluation.  You might have bad allergies, nasal polyps or something else.

my nose runs the entire time i have on a mask. it doesnt matter what brand or how tight or loose it is. im starting to wonder if its allergies. how can i tell the difference? my nose is raw from frequent nose blowing and from my nose running?

Accepted Answer

: Try Nasonex or Nasocort (steroid nasal inhaler, OTC) twice a day for a couple days. If the rhinorrhea (runny nose) improves, you are probably allergic to mask although sneezing is more common with allergic rhinitis. I wonder if you have the same symptom with clot mask.

my left eye keeps watering and burning. my nose runs but sometimes it's stuffed up, and my throat hurts at times. what's going on with me?

Dry eyes: Sounds like you have dry eyes.  The eye gets dry causing the burning and reflex tearing.  This drains to the back of the nose ant throat through the tear drainage system of the eye.  Not sure why nose is getting stuffed up or the throat hurts.  Unless you have a viral syndrome affecting the upper respiratory (nose, sinus, throat) and affecting the eyes.

itchy ears, painful ears pain in roof of mouth only at night. post nasal drip. ive sneezed a few times and sometimes my nose runs in the morning what could this be? also sometimes i cough but not a lot. any idea? covid 19?

Probably not Covid: May be allergic, bacterial sinus infection, a different virus, a narrow upper jaw with partial airway obstruction, or other causes. Call your General Physician and check if they want to see you. See your Dentist to evaluate if your upper jaw is too narrow and if you need to see an Orthodontist.

Allergic workup: Start on OTC antihistamine and Nasal cortisone spray ( Nasacort). I would suggest either Zyrtec or Benadryl (diphenhydramine) for your symptoms along with a formal allergic medical evaluation.

It's natural: This is a form of vasomotor rhinitis and a high percentage of people suffer from it.  It's more of a nuisance than a disease, but for many people it can be mildly debilitating.  If you feel you must treat it, intranasal topical steroids often work well, even at very low doses.  Otherwise, take advantage of those free kleenex you find in the ski lift lines!  that's what they're there for.

my nose runs uncontrollably when i bend over sometimes just drips out what could cause this should i be worried?

Sinus: The sudden discharge is likely from the mucus collected in your sinus draining when the head position is at a certain angle- we see this often in people doing sinus irrigation which left some saline in the sinus cavities. By itself, this is just inconvenient.  If the discharge is unilateral and a history of head trauma, will  need to check for fracture which can be serious.

Gravity. Water is: filtered from the blood stream within the nasal tissues (thickened into mucous by addition of polysaccharides &amp; proteins produced/secreted by nasal tissue cells). Lowering your nose to below (versus higher than) heart level ?es BP into nasal tissues &amp; release of water from capillaries. There are also likely additional issues, unique to you; mental, emotional &amp; physical, all playing roles.

Runny nose in cold: This is characteristic of vasomotor rhinitis, where a runny nose or just nasal obstruction is triggered by environmental issues ,fumes,spicy food, emotions,lights It can be treated with topical anitcholinergics, astelin,topical corticosteroids or cromolyn. Discuss with MD/urgent care
