Recent?: Is the piercing recent? Give it time if so, but otherwise you may want to take it out and see MD if signs of infection.

It could just be : From pressure or bruising of your nasal bridge from your glasses. Warm compress and tylenol (acetaminophen) may help. See your dr if u feel worse. Take care!

should i be concerned if my nose is numb after i got my left nostril pierced? i got it done a little under two days ago, but i'm still nervous about it?

Piercing: As with any piercing, nerve cells in the pierced area may be damaged during the procedure and will need time to heal. Continue with the sanitizing protocol instructed by your technician, and keep the area clean and dry.

i had my first transnasal gastroscopy about ten years ago. i was awake as per request. when they sprayed my nose i was nervous and moved. it got on my face instead. i felt everything. if i make sure my nose is numbed should my next scope be easier?

: If your nose is numb and the back of your throat is numb, you really shouldn’t feel anything more than some pressure sensations. You will need to swallow a couple of times so the scope passes into your esophagus and once that’s done, you may feel some pressure but nothing painful. Or, they can also give some mild sedation so that you’re a bit more relaxed. Good luck!

Old/rhino/numb?: Sounds very unusual. As long as no redness than I believe OK. Best to obtain in person examination from surgeon.

Facial numbness : With these symptoms localized to 1 side of the face, the nerve that provides sensation to your face could be affected. The best way to sort out possibilities for these symptoms would be to see your doctor to test the nerve function through a physical examand thorough history.

i got hit in cheek w/ a fresbie & my face under my eye/side of nose is numb. my dr checked & said no breaks & could take a month to heal. do u agree?

Maxillary: You may have damaged a branch of your trigeminal nerve,  just below the eye.  Typically there is little to do but wait for nerve recovery. As the nerve recovers,  there is often tingling, or jolts and such. Best of luck in speedy recovery.!

i have blisters on my inner white part of eye and they hurt. my nose under inner eye is numb. what could it be and would i need surgery?

Episcleritis: Episcleritis is inflammation of the outer layers of the eyeball that can cause painful bumps- called nodular scleritis.  It can be idiopathic or from viruses but usually resolves after a few weeks without surgery.    Go to your eye md for an exam to be sure.

Yes: Some of the nerves supplying the nose can be compressed by trauma and swelling. This might cause some numbness. If you want you can go to an urgent care center for an evaluation.
