: You probably have infection of the ear canal (otitis externa). Ear drop and/or oral antibiotic may be needed if symptoms get worse.

Ear infection: Middle ear infections with foul purulent discharge are usually not painful. Please see an ENT doctor.

i currently have a cold, and my left ear feels full. i can't hear very well out of it. would cleaning out the wax help relieve the fullness?

You probably: have blocked Eustachian tube which affects the middle ear.  Cleaning out wax will probably not help, because it collects in the outer ear.  Try decongestants such as pseudoephedrine and otc nasal spray such as Afrin or neosynephrine.  If these don't help, it is time to consult your doctor.

See doctor: You need to get to your doctor ASAP to find out what may be wrong with you. Although it is likely from Meniere's disease one needs to rule out more serious conditions.

That's a need for MD: Best solution would be to have this examined by a professional (family doctor), and throat cultured and assessed.  Upper respiratory tract infections may well be due to virus, bacteria, etc.  You might try using a netti-pot or nasal saline spray along with a decongestant and nsaid.  This sounds like it may be due to sinus disease, in which case the above might well help.

Maybe: Ear congestion and popping can result from nasal congestion from nasal allergies. If the symptoms are intermittent and involve either ear intermnittently, that may be the case. See your doctor to rule out an ear infection and then start a steroid nasal spray to improve your nasal congestion and minimize your ear symptoms.

i woke up with my left ear being numb and feeling clogged, when i lay on one side (because of the pressure) my ear will go numb. usually it goes back to normal within a couple minutes but today its been an hour and its feeling more clogged. help?

: A clogged ear is typically due to eustacian tube dysfunction. this can be caused by sinus infections, nasal infections, allergies and other conditions that result in swelling and blockage of the canal which goes from your ear into the back of your nose. Laying with the affected ear down can cause some fluid to accumulate on that side, in the canal. Try a decongestant and a warm saline nasal wash.

when i blow my nose, my right ear feels full and pops but with air/water leaking out of my right eye. is this normal? my left ear is fine

Nose-blowing: Your upper airway connects to your middle ear by the Eustachian tube, and your eye connects via the lacrimal duct. Blowing your nose forces air in both cases - so yes, this is entirely normal. The fullness in your ear may indicate fluid/congestion in your ear, or an ear infection (if pain and fever).
