my left arm hurts when i use it too much my veins will pop out and it feels like they are gonna burst what could this be?

Go to Dr.: What part of the arm? Prominent veins most of the time are not serious unless is only one arm and associated to swelling, pain or redness or caused by compression of masses in the thorax or axilla. If you exercise too much that arm increases in muscle size plus prominence of veins  &may be normal. There is some concern about a possible clot in the deep veins, or arteriovenous fistula if unilateral.

Veins don't hurt: You are probably stretching the muscle past the point of comfort.

left arm pain, with intermittently engorged veins ongoing for last 4-6 months. duplex ultrasound of arm clear. (ive also had a few ivs in 2021) what could possibly be causing my issue? soon getting an emg of left arm, and then an mri of arteries?

: Seems like a lot of tests. What are they looking for? Where is the pain? What type? What makes it better or worse? You need a good history and physical exam to be co-related with the needed tests so please find a good MD or vascular surgeon to do that. Good luck

Neurologist: I feel that a neurologist is best qualified to evaluate your symptoms as they may be due to nerve impingements or a peripheral neuropathy. The veins in your arm should collapse as you raise the arm to shoulder height. If the veins remain distended at that height, an obstruction higher in the arm would be possibly present and for this a vascular surgeon may be consulted.

Get it CHECKED OUT: If pain in a limb is affecting your ability to use that arm - it definitely could be nerve related or other things.  The only way to know for sure is to start with your family doc, who will do a thorough history and physical, probably with some basic xrays of the neck and shoulder/arm and possibly refer for neuro testing or to see an orthopedist or neurologist.

Go see ur Family Doc: Is pain in joint or muscle? Any injury or trauma? Any break in skin? Redness? Red streaks? Boil or pocket of pus? Any repetitive motions? If no evidence of infection, consider RICE: rest, ice, compression &amp; elevation. Also consider over-the-counter pain relievers if not allergic and no contraindications (reasons not to do so). If no better, then go see your Family Doc who may order xrays etc.

Arm pain: This often suggests that this position caused a temporary compression of either the nerve or the circulation.  This is a reminder for you not be in this position because this can be more permanent if you continue.

Shoudler the cause: The shoulder would  be most likely suspect. This could be shoulder bursitis or tendonitis. When you get your evaluation your shoulder will be the focus. Besides a history and examination you may need imaging such as x-ray, ultrasound .  An MRI  would be decided after these examinations.It may or  may not be necessary. Your symptoms can be improved  with exercise, physical therapy, and medication.
