Many possibilities: Your pain could be as a result of many different things including infection, metabolic conditions (gout), musculoskeletal or biomechanical abnormality and neurologic conditions (neuropathy). A thorough history and physical exam and possibly some laboratory and radiology exams are needed to determine the exact cause.

6 mo s/p dorsal morton neurectomy. don't have nerve pain, but feels like deep bruise on bottom of foot, hurts to press on/hurts running. scar tissue?

After excised the-: -nerve can still form a neuroma,which can be large enough to cause pain as you described. Some people form neuromas more than others. Usually these are always present due to the way nerves heal when they are cut. It is usually located proximal to the weight bearing metatarsal heads and cause no problems, but sounds like you are one of the unlucky ones.

the arch of my foot hurts a lot when i run. so much that i had to quit running because of which i have gained more than 35 pounds. what could i be?

Be seen: I would definitely be seen rather than give up your previously more active lifestyle.  It may be something as simple as a minor foot malalignment issue that may completely respond to an orthotic or change in your shoe wear.  Be seen.

the bottom of my foot hurts (not my ankle) after running. it typically feels worse after walking around on it for a few minutes. what should i do?

Plantar fasciitis: You may have plantar fasciitis based on the presentation. Usually, pain is located in the heel, usually, where the heel and the arch merge. First thing in the morning when you step on you foot is very painful and a few steps after that. It may hurt throughout the day as well. See podiatrist. Read about plantar fasciitis and see if symptoms fit. Inserts will help, exercises are helpful.

You definitively : Should see a foot and ankle doc you need xrays and clinical exam. You need to rule out presence degree of sprain and rule out any fractures.

hi, monday night i was running and randomly my foot started to hurt near the 5th metatarsal and cuboid. it still hurts and gets worse with activity some bending of my foot hurts as well. should i go see a doc or stay home?

Good day,my apology : you probably sprained your ankle while running,i would like to know if your ankle is swollen,ill advice 
you  not to put weight on the affected ankle,if its swollen then you will need to go see the doctor,if its not we can give you a script to visit a pharmacist

Stop Running: With any strain or injury, it's very important to rest the affected foot. There may be a tendon or ligament injury and with further running it could worsen. Have a specialist examine it if you have no improvement!

Possible Baker's: Baker's cyst. Follow up with an orthopod that can evaluate you for this. Usually happens in the back of the knee, and presses on nerves and arteries which cause pain and burning sensation to the foot. Definitely get it check out.

Shoes?: You may need to have the type, brand, and fit of shoe checked.  There are some brands that just don't work for some people.  For myself, i cannot run in nike shoes because the shoe tends to fit too narrow.  Varies from person to person.  Talk to someone at a specialty running store or a foot dr.

i get foot pain while running. should i raise or lower myheel?

Depends: It depends on the location of the pain. It also depends on the alignment of your foot and running style. Running shoes wear out and need to be changed regularly to prevent pain and injury.
