i have irregular period for the pass 4yrs now. i have a 10 year old daughter. when my daughter was four year i have one miscarriage since then no preg?

Irregular periods: That many years without a pregnancy mean you may have a hormonal problem. A very common problem can be polycystic ovarian syndrome (or PCOS).  Recommend that you see a gynecologist or endocrinologist who can evaluate you for PCOS and other hormonal problems (thyroid disease, elevated prolactin). Any hormonal problem can prevent pregnancy and  increase your risk for miscarriage if you get pregnant.

Yes,if...: 21-28 day cycles can be normal at any age.If more often, i would check with your pediatrician.

Accepted Answer

No: You can do nothing to increase her height, beyond providing good nutrition.  Eventual height is determined primarily by by two things, genetics and nutrition. The genetics are what they are and you can't alter that.  Good nutrition, however, is under your control and does effect growth and development. Understand, however, that five feet tall is slightly below average, but normal for an adult.

Have her evaluated: This is the type of pattern a visit to an obgyn can sort out. Sometimes they need a low dose pill to pace their system for a while to get it back on track. Much of the evaluation can be done with ultrasound and imaging so she doesn't need to freak out about a full exam, though they may need to if initial workup requires the added info.

Irregular periods: Most of the time, an irregular period is caused by an imbalance of hormones, particularly estrogen and progesterone. Start with her regular family Dr. They can do an initial assessment/run labs. They can also refer her to a gynecologist who can do a more in depth study of her irregular periods. If the problem is hormonal, they may suggest having her start hormonal pills to regulate her period.

Yes: A girl of this young age with her periods already will quite likely be very irregular, even for several years. She may have two in one month, then one next month, then skip three months. Many of these cycles may be anovulatory. It's nothing to worry about, but make sure she is taking a vitamin with iron, as she is likely to get anemic having more than one period a month and at such a young age.

Puberty: Acne or pimples is a very common occurrence during puberty and is often a "death sentence" to most girls. The cornerstone of treatment is washing the face with warm water and  a cleanser 2x a day. You may start with 5% benzoyl peroxide lotion/cream once or 2x a day after washing. If not improved, try the 10%. Wait at least 2-4 weeks for results. Prescription meds by her pediatrician is available.

Will continue growin: at a slower pace though, having menses starting at age 10 is bit early, although there are reports of girls starting at age 9. Kindly see her pediatrician and preferably a pediatric endocrinologist, if you have access to one, for a follow up on growth velocity, might need some blood work, hormonal assessment and imaging studies for bone age and the like, all the best for yourself and your daughter
