can i pass psoriasis to my coworkers?

Accepted Answer

No: It is never contagious, although co workers maybe concerned that they can catch it and that can be difficult in a work environment. The psoriasis foundation has excellent material you can educate coworkers if necessary.

my stool is always thick heavy pasty but soft but it's still hard to pass. what can i do to get my stool to become more light and loose?

Roughage: Eat foods high in fiber, more greens, oats, bran etc.
Also metamucil is a great source of roughage. It contains psyllium, which should solve the problem.

my 8 month baby is passing green stool but its not loose?

Green stools : The color  of the  stool, being green  does not mean that your baby is  having a problem,  it just happen that the bile pigment  goes out in the stool before it can get reabsorped from the intistine  also it can reflect  the color of the food we eat. my son is passing loose stool and its white in color he is on antibiotic what could be the problem?

Antibiotic: Antibiotics cause a disruption in the normal balance between viruses, bacteria, and yeast in the colon.  Loose stools (and sometimes discolorations) are side effects of taking antibiotics.  Watch for the passage of bloody stools which would be of more concern.

my stool is in small drshaped lumps and porous  and sometimes hav to pass stool twice or thrice a day but its not loose  wat could b wrong?ibs?

Probably normal: If you are passing formed stools but more than once per day, it's probably normal. You can regularize your stools and make them soft by taking soluble fiber (citrucel, metamucil, etc) at least two tablespoons daily (add it to juice, or sprinkle on cereal) .

: It could, but unfortunately other medical conditions can cause it as well. Would suggest keeping a log with the type of food you eat and ensuing symptoms and seeing your doc as work up may be needed.

could use your help docs! my coworker has shingles. i've had chicken pox already but can i pass it onto my 9 month old baby?

No: Your past chickenpox protects you from acquiring the disease.Shingles is also much less contagions in general.The debris from the wounds is contagious, but it is not in her saliva or spread by airborne droplets. If you have any direct contact, simple washing with soap should decontaminate your hands and prevent your transporting the germ into your home.

IBS?: Irritable bowel syndrome is a possibility.  Have you had a colonoscopy?  You might want to consult with a GI specialist.

Normal variant: Babies that age have flabby soft abdominal muscles.They often must rely on their fussing/breathing muscles to move food through the system &amp; poop.Some are more dramatic about it than others. The pattern improves over time as they develop more mobility &amp; tighten their belly muscles.
