A member asked:

My son is passing loose stool and its white in color he is on antibiotic what could be the problem?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Antibiotic: Antibiotics cause a disruption in the normal balance between viruses, bacteria, and yeast in the colon. Loose stools (and sometimes discolorations) are side effects of taking antibiotics. Watch for the passage of bloody stools which would be of more concern.
