Severalpossibilities: A palpable growth on the scalp could be several things, the most likely being a benign growth called a lipoma.  A ct scan of the head can help determine if it is arising from the scalp tissue or involving the bone, and an MRI of the brain can help determine if it is involving brain tissue.

i have a small lump on the back of my head on the left side. it is very sore, even without anything touching it, it aches. have a sore head and dizzy.

See a doctor: Any painful lump deserves to be checked.  It could be a skin cyst, an ingrown hair, or an area of inflammation of the skull bone or overlaying skin.  I just had a 21 year old female who had a non-cancerous growth in the skull bone that was causing her pain.  One of the cancer warning signs: Lumps or thickened areas in the breast, testicles, or elsewhere. At your age you R unlikely to have cancer.

Further evaluation: The lump may not be associated and it may be an epidermal cyst. Your headaches sound somewhat migrainous in nature but you should seek further evaluation and consider an eye examination, lab tests, and an MRI if warranted by history and physical exam. There are treatments that may be beneficial.

i have had over 8 months of dizziness lightheadedness and yesterday i found a dime size lump on left side back of head nonmovable and non painful?

Lightheadedness: I am concerned about your symptoms. I do not see your age listed, but regardless, I would recommend see your PCP ASAP or even go to an urgent care if the symptoms are active. The presence of the lump concerns me of previous falls from blanking out maybe. You need basic work up to start with and should include blood work, electrocardiogram and possibly scan of your head, echo and carotid ultrasound

will do an mri soon. i feel a throbbing, pulsing feeling in back of head and neck, it makes dizzy and like im rocking. cant look down or it feels worse. when i stretch my neck side to side i hear a pop sometimes. ears red and painful, no weakness?

: Apparently your MRI ruled out the presence of an acoustic neuroma. I recommend consulting a neurologist for examination &amp; appropriate testing. For the hearing loss,ear pains &amp; hoarseness an otolaryngologist  should also provide input.

SORE SPOT ON SCALP: This sounds as if it could be shingles. See a dermatologist or your family doctor as quickly as possible. It also be an infected cyst. In any case see a doctor!
