NO!!!: Why injecting B12??? No harm, but is there a reason? No benefit except for specific B12 deficiency due to pernicious anemia, celiac disease, intestinal surgery, weird diet, certain meds, etc. Why injecting buttock when usually given in arm?? If indicated, oral supplement is just as good in most cases. If you do not have one of the medical indications there is no benefit.

Yes: I will sometimes use electrical stimulation therapy to help strengthen muscles usually as a part of physical therapy. For instance after an acl tear and repair in the knee, there is often significant atrophy of the quadriceps muscle. Estim helps a great deal. In persons with spinal cord injury, electrical stimulation uses chronically can help with atrophy.

This result from injury or damage to the spinal cord or spinal nerves, also from nerve disease such as als,  polio, guillain-barre syndrome, muscular dystrophy, etc.

This causes loss of sensation, pain and sometimes atrophy.
