Cranberry juice!?: You either have a urinary tract infection or you don't. To treat only with cranberry juice and not an antibiotic is inappropriate. Perhaps there is a misunderstanding. Get with a physician in whom you have confidence.

If your results were from a screening dipstick, they may be false positives.  Sometimes urine will show high glucose and protein right after exercise or eating, but return to normal later. Again, please check with your primary care provider.

Infection?: Nitrates mean bacteria in urine. Leukocyte estrase usually is positive if nitrates are and it indicates the presence of white blood cells (pus cells) in urine confirming infection. If leuk est is neg, infection is doubtful bec bacteria may come from skin contamination. Protein could accompany infection in urine, if severe, you need to see a kidney doctor, after you treat the infection first.

Stage 2-3: You have kidney disease.  You just did not have significant amounts of protein in the urine at that sample.   Egfr.
