Probably not: This is usually a normal bacteria in the nose and on the skin and probably not the cause of your nasal congestion etc. An allergy problem is more likely.

Not best: Usual therapy is Mupirocin ointment  by prescription. Very effective but likely to recur.

What kind of Staph?: Staphylococci have variable susceptibility to antibiotics. You need to see your doctor to get a culture and antibiotic sensitivity done for proper choice of antibiotics.

Staph nose infection: An infection can sometimes be hard to clear when there is a "foreign body" present.  That's because the germs use it to their advantage-- kind of like a fortress to them. Given that this infection is on your face you may want to just remove the jewelry and try later after it is healed. Staph are very dangerous bacteria- I don't play around with them! Sorry.

Who's checking: Do you have frequent bouts of impetigo? Most doctors don't check their patient's noses for serious infections unless you show signs of serious illness. The area still: needs to be cleaned regularly to get rid of 'crusties'.

See remark: As a physician,I say give it"tincture of time"...meaning this should subside with time.The so called dead tissue  will will eventually comes out as you blow your nose.

Multi uses of ACV: No
it is much better than antibiotic ointment.

Tea-tree oil is also good.

Skin contmaination: Coag negative staph on urine culture is not of pathological significance.

Very well could be.: Coagulate negative staph can reside on the skin, so when a culture comes back with that finding one has to use judgment in deciding if the positive culture represents true infection or is just a skin contaminant.  Because  coat negative staph can be a pathogen, that is the cause of illness, one should not dismiss the finding out of hand.
