i am 3 days late for my period. i havent had cramps for 1 to 2 weeks and today i have mucus discharge with small blood streaks in it. am i pregnant?

Maybe, maybe not...: It can be hard to tell if a woman is pregnant because some of the symptoms seen in early pregnancy can also happen in non-pregnant women.  A urine pregnancy test gives a reliable result if done correctly.  One can test about 3 weeks after sex (when conception might have occurred), or 1 week after missing a period.  An Ob-Gyn doctor can evaluate any persistent or worrisome symptoms.

Depends where from?: Blood in a mucus nasal discharge when u blow your nose is common & rarely of concern. Blood in mucus coughed up from chest may be serious & should be looked into by your dr.. Tb, something similar or even lung cancer needs to be excluded. Bloody vaginal mucus is also abnormal & needs to be checked out by a gynecologist. Malignancy needs to be ruled out. Hopefully nothing serious. Good luck.

Infection? STD?: Colored (yellow, pinkish, etc) or mucous-y vaginal discharge often indicate infection. At your age, STDs are among the common causes of vaginal area infections -- depending, of course, on sexual lifestyle and potential exposures. See a doctor soon for exam and testing. Good luck!

You need to be seen: It is very possible that this is all related to a hemorrhoid that is intermittently bleeding and now irritated.  Anal fissures - sort of cracks in the skin in that area - can also cause these issues.  But bleeding can rarely mean something more worrisome is going on.  So please consider seeing someone in person to better create an action plan.  Best of luck.

Colitis: This is consistent with mucus colitis which could be due to irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease or an infection. The blood is nonspecific and can occur with any if these conditions or with associated hemorrhoids or anal fissure. Avoid harsh roughage, take kaopectate (kaolin and pectin) as needed for loose stools, but consult your physician if symptoms persist and appropriate tests with stool culture.

Need Moisture: If nose is too dry, it may bleed and crust.    Hydrate, use humidifier,  ad nasal saline spray.  Protect the membranes of your nose from drying by applying bland ointment with a cotton swab to the front of the nose three times a day.  Try ayr nasal gel but alternatively vaseline or a&d ointment will work.
