You need to be seen: It is very possible that this is all related to a hemorrhoid that is intermittently bleeding and now irritated. Anal fissures - sort of cracks in the skin in that area - can also cause these issues. But bleeding can rarely mean something more worrisome is going on. So please consider seeing someone in person to better create an action plan. Best of luck.

Get GI Eval: bleeding is never normal from the stool, and now with your mucus discharge, it's all the more reason that you need to see the GI dr. to get diagnosed and treated. Best wishes.

GI consultation: It is not normal to have blood in stool for a year. You want to detect the problem and treat effectively . Colitis for many different reasons can cause Blood and mucus discharge from Rectum. Ulcerative colitis is a serious condition and sooner it is diagnosed better it is.
