Nothing: It may be normal colonic discharge. If you are not having diarrhea , constipation, bleeding or pain, I will not panic. keep an eye, eat healthy , drink liquids. Follow up with your Doctor if any problems.

what is acl mucoid degeneration?

Not really known: Mucoid degeneration of the ACL is seen most commonly in adults (35-55 years of age). The cause is not really known, but patients usually do not complain of instability. Anterior knee pain is the more common complaint. The ACL appears on MRI to be enlarged with cystic changes throughout, however it is intact. Arthroscopic debridement may help relieve the anterior knee pain.

Not usually...: This diagnosis is usually quoted by a radiologist reading an MRI scan in a  degenerative knee. If the knee has arthritis that's significantly advanced, the ACL often looks degenerative. This is not symptomatic and does not require surgical intervention. Indications for anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction includes instability and not a radiologist's interpretation of a single change on MRI.

: I think what you call "mucoid plaque" is in fact created by the mixing of psyllium (main ingredient of metanucil) with water in the GI tract which will help the bowel movement.

Nothing: This can definitely be a normal variation. The stool can become mucousy from the baby swallowing some nasal discharge and color in baby stool is variable. I always say if it is not red (blood) black (old blood from top of intestines) or white (without color), they are fine. Dont panic and enjoy you baby! :)

More information?: Do you know if the mucoid degeneration was specifically seen on the ACL or on one of the menisci? This is not a very common finding. Basically it is injury or loss of  functional synovial lining protecting the ACL or meniscus and often there isn't an identifiable injury preceding it. Arthroscopy is often successful at repairing it. Often there is limited flexion of the knee.
