Possibly: Mrsa is just a type of resistant staph bacteria. Like most infections, it is potentially transmisable but most likely you have nothing to worry.  Just wash your hands and keep your infected area clean and covered.

Usually not: This not frequent problem in infant, if treated correctly should heal  in about one week.

Staph Aureus,: The MRSA bacteria, is normally found in the nose. So, yes, you can have MRSA in the sinuses, especially if you are a carrier. The swelling of you eye is very concerning. You should seek attention immediately.

i do have a history of mrsa i actually became septic from one just above my right eye and almost died from it. i have a boil on my butt that has doubled in size in just one day and is very hot. could this be mrsa?

: Boils are usually staph and recently MRSA is found in the majority of those where cultures are obtained. MRSA is so common now in the environment that most practitioners assume it is &amp; treat as such. A boil on your butt usually must be drained before it will stop recuring and many will add an anti MRSA antibiotic during treatment.

the boil on my butt tested positive for mrsa i have a stye on my left eye forming.does that mean the mrsa has spread throughout?do i need to be extra cautious because of the mrsa?or are these not related at all.i have gotten septic from mrsa before?

: In view of your history with previous MRSA sepsis and its occurrence in the boil, probably MRSA is all over your skin and body openings and could well be responsible for the stye. Discuss ASAP with the doctor(s) who have treated this problem, ideally an infectious diseases specialist. Good luck.

MRSA: Mrsa means methicliin resistant staph aureus. This is a baceria that has developed resistance to the common antibiotics that kill it.  However it has not developed resistance to all antibiotics. Perhaps your doctor is treating you withone of the antibiotics that can kill this germ.

4 days ago i spent the evening talking with a friend who said he is being treated for mrsa. two days later i developed a strong cough (no fever), and since today have red teary eyes. caused by mrsa?

MRSA is staph: it causes boils and pink eye.
The pink eye of staph tends to have a LOT of gunk and inflammation with it.
Lung infection with staph would surely put you in the hospital ! (fever, severe lung problems, a lot of gunk being coughed up, etc.).

mrsa, started taking bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) 48 hours ago, and mupirocin topical. my eye is swelling & have clear/white mucous up from throat. do i need 2 c dr asap?

MRSA: It's hard to tell why your eye is swelling. It would be nice to know where your infection is. If your infection is in your face and is spreading, i would recommend you call your doc's office. They may have you come in today.

i have had mrsa 3 times. now i have a very sore throat, enlarged lymph nodes with abscesses over them, chest pain, red eyes, and bad cough. mrsa again?

Probably: The abscesses over the lymph nodes is a sign of mrsa. Get cultures and antibiotics. Check your gammaglobulins.
