Any symptoms?: Do you have any symptoms? Any test can have false negative results. Unneeded tests can produce false positive results.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex. 
Get HPV vaccine

Best test: An MRI with contrast is the best test to detect a brain tumor.  If the MRI did not detect a brain tumor then it is likely either too small to see or there is no brain tumor.

: MRI would not miss a brain tumor causing symptoms.  Lesions in the brain develop over variable times depending upon disorder.  Why do you think you have a brain tumor?  Have you discussed your misgivings with your doctors?

100% ruled out: You are going to see any tumors in the Central Nervous System (CNS) with a non-contact MRI. Only reason to add on contrast is to assess vasculature and for things related to the vascular system such as small aneurysms.  Tumors are not more easily found by using contrast . Put your mind at ease - you don't have a brain tumor. If still concerned about specific issues,  see neurologist...

what test is better for detecting a small adrenal tumor? an mri w/without contrast or a ct? i prefer the mri to avoid the radiation but i have heard that an mri could miss a tumor if it is too small. is this true, or is it just as good as the ct?

CT Scan:  A non-contrast CT is usually sufficient to identify a tumor. However, the addition of contrast (an “adrenal protocol” CT) can add additional information, primarily in determination of risk of malignancy.

: Your study is clearly reassuring.  Any mass large enough to cause symptoms would readily be seen.  BUT, since you have misgivings, have your doctors review your films with you to cover all the bases

MRI: A MRI with contrast is sufficient to detect evidence of a brain tumor. If there is any question as to whether a brain tumor is present or not, one can opt to repeat the MRI of the brain with contrast three months after the last MRI brain was obtained.

Acoustic Neuroma: Hard to see until the get to be a certain size. Brainstem Auditory Evoked Potential Testing can detect the problem months to years before the tumor is visible on MRI. It is sensitive but not specific.
