Caution: These minerals will be absorbed as needed by your body. Calcium will be kept in a very tight balance so if you need calcium wou will absorb what you need and waste the rest. Magnesium is similar but to a lesser extent so do not take more than the fda recommended daily dose of MG

Yes: PPIs appear to inhibit active magnesium absorption and common symptoms of magnesium depletion are weakness, tremors, and muscle twitching) Omeprazole is the most likely PPI to cause low blood magnesium and induced low blood magnesium causes low blood calcium over 1/2 ofthe time.Lower dose is betterif does the job.

Mg for heartbeats: The best sources is dietary.  Do the DASH DIET which is a high magnesium diet.  Go to Nih.gov Dan’s read about DASH. And do it!

Supplements=not drug: By definition supplements are not drugs and not subject to the pre-market safety or purity standards of the FDA. Their dosing suggestions are also not reviewed. The FDA only becomes involved if a supplement causes harm to persons &amp; only if that harm is reported. There are independent labs like USP that does verify the product. You consume these at your own risk.

Likely filtered out: High dose magnesium can cause muscle weakness / fatigue / lethargy, but with good hydration, the kidneys will filter and excrete the excess over time. Use all medications / treatments according to dr's recommendations. Call poison center for specific advice and recommendations if concerned.
