i get this debilitating pain on r side of head by ear. it is off & on & lasts about half hour or so. it stops me in my tracks 2day been going on 4 hrs?

See physician: You should be seen today by your doctor, urgent care or emergency room and be thoroughly checked, including your blood pressure and a neurological exam.  Do you have a history of migraine headache?  Do you have any vomiting with the head pain or visual changes?  Good luck.

Medication side effe: Are you on any medications for depression?  This has been reported to me by a few of my patients taking SSRI antidepressants.  This is a possibility if nothing else shows up when you see your doc for a complete,exam

do i have a head injury and should i be concerned about it. yesterday, i was at  my highschool track practice i was highjumping then i jumped way to high and when i landed i just clipped the mat and landed on the ground on my neck and the back of my head

I : I agree with dr fowler.  In particular, what you describe is typical for a concussion, but you should be checked to be sure that you don't have a more serious kind of injury such as a subdural hematoma or a contusion.  Also, if you hit your neck, you should have an MRI scan of the neck to be sure you have not damaged your cervical spine and put your spinal cord at risk.  Do not delay in seeking appropriate evaluations.

i keep getting a tingling feeling on top of my head, scalp on the left side, kinda like chills running over it i have had it for the past two nights while walking at the walking track, but then while ago way laying in bed and on my laptop and it happened

strange feelings can be paresthesias, coming from nerves acting up due to pressure or a virus. The one we treat is H Zoster (shingles) but if that was happening you would feel painful bumps. I would massage the area and hope it doesnt come back.  If it does, consult your PCP.

can a diet low in iodine cause small fetal head @ 32 weeks? i'm concerned that tech said head is small but doctor said she's on track. i'm scared!!!!!

Clarify : Before you start deciding that there is a problem contact your doctor and ask for clarification. From what you are saying the doctor said everything was normal and that there is no problem.

Thoughts: You can be born with nystagmus, usually associated with a hereditary eye problem. You can acquire it during an infection of the nervous system. You can see it as a side effect of some drugs. You can acquire it through an injury. It would be reasonable to sort this out with your doctor.

Yes: Melanoma can cause burning and pain, particularly when it grows deeper into the skin.  A mole should never itch, burn, or cause pain.  When it does, that is a sure sign that you should see your doctor to have it evaluated.
