Strain: Sounds like your neck is the issue, and could be due to soft tissue, strain/sprain, but may be due to a structural issue, such as cervical spondylosis, stenosis, or even a disc problem. 
See your doctor, perhaps obtain radiological studies, and consider physical therapy perhaps.

I would recommend : Getting evaluated by a neurosurgeon. A good history, physical exam, and possibly some diagnostics may help you figure out what is going on and what you can do to improve your pain experience.

Likely muscular: It sounds like you have a muscle spasm causing tension headaches. You can try ice or heat for 15 minutes. If you can tolerate anti- inflammatories, those can be helpful. This usually gets better with physical therapy (massage to decrease spasm) neck/posture work to prevent recurrence and eval of your workplace ergonomics. A physiatrist can eval to find specific underlying cause / other treatments.

Unclear question: When were you last tested for hiv? It can take up to a year for antibody tests to turn positive. If you have any doubt, please see your doctor and get tested. Do not delay testing because you may be afraid. Early treatment is better for controlling the infection.

See a doctor if the pain doesn't improve in a few days or if you have headache, dizziness, numbness of the arms, visual or speech changes.

Go left!: It may be that there is a degenerative spur or small joint (facet) issue or even a disc problem that can be the cause of your pain that is aggravated by position.  If it is troublesome for you, get it checked.

May be tension : Most headaches in the back of the neck are tension headaches. But if other symptoms are noted like pain or nubness down one or both arms , or any weakness in the arms , a more thorough work up is needed. Check with your doctor and see if xrays or cat scans are warrented. Some pts will need nerve conduction test or EMG testing in the arms.

Muscle Attachment: There is a strong system of muscles surrounding and supporting the neck. Any head trauma likely involves some neck trauma as well. Nearby neck muscles engage to protect the spine, and thus may create some soreness at sites away from the main area of injury or trauma.
