: Yes. It takes 3-5 days to get a steady blood level, so effects probably take about a week to really be established.

4 hours: Mobic (meloxicam) is an nsaid.  Depending on the NSAID and the condition intended to treat some nsaids may work within a few hours while others may take a week or two before most benefits are achieved. Mobic (meloxicam) typically starts working with 2-3 hours.

we are working on reducing my meloxicam dosage 15mg to 7.5mg. i'm starting to take half tablets, wonder if it would be ok to skip a day, to reduce the level a little faster. i've been told there's no withdrawal issues with it?

: There is no withdrawal with meloxicam. The pain experienced when starting it may come back in case the reason for the pain was not addressed and that is where having a clear plan with your doc may help.

Mobic (meloxicam) is not the: answer. If it's NSAIDs and you have a history of gastritis, they are not compatible to do together. Wise to call your doctor to switch to something else. We don't have the rest of your past medical /soc /sexual /surgical /supplement histories that would be helpful. Need to make sure you're hydrating fully, not taking caffeinated bev, chocolate, fried foods, processed foods, alcohol, even smoking.

See doctor: You need to go back to your doctor  to chang to different anti-inflammatory  there are other ones besides Mobic (meloxicam) . Your ankle may need to be reevaluate with additional x-ray, MRI or even see specialist.Your doctor can recommend for you.

It shouldnt: It shouldn't. Hctz (hydrochlorothiazide) can take a couple of weeks to hit full effect. Just keep an eye on your BP over the next month and if it does not change, i would consider that possibility.

Yes: NSAIDS differ in responses in different people. It is rational to try different ones before giving up on them. Also some require more than just a day or two to see if they,'re effective. Newer ones like Celebrex (celecoxib) are easier on the gastrointestinal track in some but not all people.
