abscess under my left breast 2 weeks. yesterday i completed course of flucloxacillin 250 started on 31 dec. i am 179kg. boil is now inflamed no sign of antibiotic having had any effect. have pcos & possibly insulin resistance and assoc food allergies?

Likely: needs surgical incision and drainage to clear the infection at this point, let your doctor know it is not better. Then they can plan the next phase of treatment.

Boils: hello~ probably not the food, but most likely due to MRSA. Have the next boils pus cultured and then go and see an infectious disease expert for advice on Rx if it is MRSA thanks

: No, impossible. If you have genital area HPV, nobody will ever catch it except by sex with you. There are no known exceptions. Household partners and contacts do not get HPV even after years of sharing kitchens, toilets, towels, clothing, etc with HPV infected persons -- assuming they are not also sex partners of the infected person.

Burned taste buds: The hot food destroyed the cells on top of your tonge that allow you to taste.  These will grow back quickly if you don't burn them again.  If there is an actual BOIL (swelling and bleeding) this sounds like an infection and you should be seen.  Be very careful while eating until this is resolved.  Good luck!

Probably not: The novel coronavirus (nCoV) probably is not transmitted on food. So far, it appears to be transmitted primarily through respiratory droplets (via coughing or sneezing) - more like influenza and colds than food-borne illnesses. This is true for other coronaviruses, and nCoV is unlikely to be different. But stay tuned:  it will take weeks or months to understand the details of transmission risk.

Not sure but...: It could be the glutamine. An important amino acid. In Chinese cooking they frequently add MSG (Monosodium glutamate) as a flavor enhancer. There is a well described "Chines Restaurant Syndrome" which you may have. Check it out on www.mayoclinic.com

Oral herpes?: One possibility is oral herpes. Do you have a past history of cold sores? In people infected with HSV1, often without previous symptoms, an injury to the face -- especially the lips -- can trigger an outbreak. Discuss it with your doctor.

why does my five year old have a boil on her upper thigh? i give her multivitamins, immune booster probiotics and a large variety  of food..

It happens: Unfortunately, bug bites and other itchy things happen.When the kid scratches the area the skin may be opened further and any germ under the kids fingernail is planted in the wound.This may be a germ that enjoys the extra nutrients of the wound and digs down creating a boil.Normal kids are not decontaminating their fingers wit good hand washing every few minutes. So this happens.

once a boil has popped now what?

Rupture: When a boil ruptures, generally drainage of pus-like discharge will ensue.  It's best to keep the affected area covered while the boil heals on its on.  There is nothing otherwise that needs to be done than to keep the affected area clean, dry and dressed.  It can take 1-2 weeks to completely heal, dependent on the size of the boil.
