15-25 mg /week!: I firmly believe Methotrexate should be given by the subcutaneous route once weekly.  You bypass the gut, cut down the 300 x first pass overload though the liver, and have far fewer GI issues. Also, since people absorb between 40-90% of mtx by the oral route, but absorb 100% by the s.C. Route, it is difficult to argue for oral mtx. I would not take it orally myself. The dose is based on response!

Calll your rheum doc: Depending on your dose, how well you've tolerated it (side effects, liver enzyme elevation, if any), it's probably not advisable to take your next dose 4 days early.For my patients, i recommend not taking 2 doses closer than 5 days apart to adjust the day they take their Methotrexate or if they take it 1 or 2 days late for some reason (sick, forgot).Call your rheum doc to get best guidance for you.

Yes: I commonly change days by one to two days with my patients. It should not be a problem with your current dose. I would recommend you do this only with the approval of your primary prescribing physician.

Possibly, but: Possible with calcium pyrophosphate deposition disease, not with rheumatoid.  Check diagnosis.

Discuss with doctor: There are many ways to effectively treat JIA with Methotrexate and biologics (Enbrel, Remicade, (infliximab) Humira, Orencia).Every doc has their own style and can work as long as the starting dose is titrated to work but not cause too many side effects. I would start a typical 50 lb 6yo with either 10 or 12.5mg of injected Methotrexate weekly but all kids are unique so your doc may start with a different dose

Get routine checks: Regardless of the dose, this drug can cause compromise- varying from paient to pateint.Testing is rather routine and can spot a problem before it becomes serious.

i experienced no fatigue after first dose of 10mg methotrexate. is it because i just started and it hasn't built up in my body, or maybe i won't at all?

Probably : Fatigue is one of the most common side effects. Most patients have pretty constant symptoms so it is possible you will not experience fatigue. It can but rarely do side effects accumulate with time.
