Breath: Interestingly, foul breath or "sour" breath can signify other disease processes.  Obviously, dental hygiene would be considered, but also sinus infections, throat infections, liver disease, kidney disease, and even diabetic issues can cause changes in breath.  If you have other symptoms i.e. Fever, fatigue, diminished urine output or yellow tinge to your skin or whites of your eyes, see your docto.

Maybe: Any respiratory tract infection can cause foul smelling sputum.  Histoplasmosis can cause fever, night sweats chest pain and fatigue.

Asthma:  There is no one size fits all when it comes to treatment of asthma. You need to see your physician or pulmonolgist to get better control of you asthma. That is a first.

Breathing problems: It depends upon whether it is more of a feeling or an actual decrease in breathing. Depends on whether you smoke or not, exercise frequency and baseline anxiety. You can see a physician and get a breathing test done to assess if there is any pathologic problem. Another factor can be weight as being overweight can affect breathing as well.

Hearburn: More common than shortness of breath *but* yes! gerd can trigger asthma-like trouble. Many other things can also make it hard for you to breathe so please talk with your doc. Hope you're feeling better soon.

Yes, but: Practically ANYTHING can be a symptom of cancer but that doesn't mean the individual has cancer. For instance, lung cancer commonly causes shortness of breath (as well as chest pain, coughing blood, weight loss, hoarseness, etc) but there are dozens of less serious causes of shortness of breath which are generally more likely.

have costochondritis, suddenly finding it difficult to breath, is this normal? its worrying as i havent had this symptom previous nights

Maybe: Costochondritis may cause pain with deep breaths, but if the pain is severe or persists, I would recommend being checked out to make sure nothing else is going on that could be more serious.

also, my breath has been really raunchy since the third day after extraction, is this normal for the most part or only a symptom of dry socket?

It is normal: Tooth extraction is a surgical procedure and is not completely risk-free. Pain, swelling, bad breath and infection following surgery is usually at its worst 24 – 48 hours after surgery. After that it should subside more and more every day and after 7 days stop. See your dentist or an oral surgeon for post-op appointment and treatment. Take care.

my wife is pregnaant and she has a symptom that she can't breath thru her nose and is stuffy. a week later i developed this as well. what do i do?

Try an allergy med: Your pregnant wife maybe suffering from rhinitis of pregnancy which is common.  You may have allergies or symptoms if sympathy.  You should try otc allergy meds first if not successful see your physician.

Chest pain: On deep breaths can be a symptom of aspergillosis if the pleura is involved.
