That is an: unusual combination because both impact serotonin levels. If one is being weaned off of  &amp; the other is just being started that would make sense. Use of both might increase risk for serotonin syndrome.

can laying down, chin compressed to chest, for hours at time daily, cause mental nerve irritation or damage? in result, the chin briefly tingles upon touch? or is this type of paresthesia, only able to be caused from typical numb chin syndrome?

i went for oral biopsy for swelling . doctors didn't took sample becoz acc. to them mental nerve was enlarged there. now i m feeling numbness in chin ?

Swelling: You need to get a diagnosis. From what you describe the swelling is putting pressure on the nerve and causing the numbness. Once the swelling is resolved the numbness will disappear over time. If it is not tooth related (infection, decay) then it may be one of many aggressive cysts that will need to be removed. Have your teeth moved? Are any impacted? Pls see a pathologist 4 2nd opinion asap.

Typical: If they took a biopsy of the nerve, the area enervated by that nerve will be numb, perhaps permanently, but certainly for several months to years, depending on where the injury occurred.

: Odd statement. The blood forming system in your body does so no matter how your brain functions. If mental illness triggered poor dietary choices that starved the system of needed nutrients it may be a factor in anemia. The same lack of nutrients can lead to nerve damage. You need to discuss this all with your regular physician. Both issues can likely be fixed.

Facial numbness: It is difficult to assess whether you have a pinched nerve in the neck without more information and an examination. A pinched nerve between the 3rd and 4th cervical vertebrae (C4 nerve root) can cause these symptoms but this is not common. Other alternatives include irritation of the greater occipital nerve behind ear.

Yes: If the damage does not cause the nerve to be completely cut, then healing can occur. If a nerve has been cut, it will need to be reconnected in order to grow. Nerve grows about 1 mm/day, so depending on where the injury is, it may take over a year for recovery. It is difficult after a nerve is cut to get 100% recovery, but some return of sensation can be expected after repair.

Depends on location, causation, and whether successful treatment is available.
