my knee feels full and stiff with light pain on top of the knee went and got a xray everything was normal but then my foot got numb so i went to the er and they said it was pfps but i dont know could if be a meniscus tear because im not in a lot of pain j

Get evaluated: Knee pain can have multiple causes including but not limited to trauma, infection, inflammation, and neoplasm. A thorough history and physical followed by diagnostic imaging can help get the answers and treatment you might need.  Meniscal pathology is common and can cause some of the symptoms you are experiencing but not foot numbness.

If it is only: in the foot and if it is not severe.  If the swelling or pain extends into calf or it worsens, it could be DVT, so re-consult with your doctor.

Arthritis ?: It may be part of a larger arthritis syndrome. You need to see your physician. Your evaluation will include lab, imaging along  with a history and physical.  Inflammation is  occuring and it  may be causing the arthritis  and the the blood vessels - getting the petechiae.

Concerned Mom: Hyperactive sympathetic nervous system réponses are not unusual post operative. This is more common when a tourniquet has been used.   Be sure that she is walking to prevent blood clots.  Hot tea and mom's warm chicken soup would help.  Dad would suggest a shot of something that would cause peripheral vascular dilatation. Keep her active and it would not hurt to call the surgeon's office.

Don't quite under-: -stand the?. The blueness in the toes is common. It is a response to injury,and involves a circulatory response especially if the leg is dependent. The rest is not a question. When she starts to have less pain &amp; is weight bearing this usually goes away. If not, call your surgeon.

See ortho doc: You answered your own question with the diagnosed menus all tear. This can be helped with arthroscopic surgery.  Your bicycle is loading the joint, creating pressure on the tear and causing pain. Topical prescription  and oral NSAIDS will reduce the inflammation. Using a reclining bike that shifts your weight will allow you to pedal a lot further with outs generating this pain.

Knee injuries: If the knee injury is recent (within 2 weeks), the ankle swelling is likely the result of the injury to the lower extremity itself. This is especially true if you are not elevating the extremity regularly. Gravity will pull the fluid into the foot/ankle over time. 2-3 weeks after injury, the swelling should start to improve, but may take longer of you remain on your feet most of the day

Ankle foot: Swelling after meniscus injury is common because the knee injury is a site of fluid congestion while healing. That congestion can cause fluids to back up in the foot and ankle as a result. Be careful of inactivity while recuperating from your injury because a blood clot known as DVT can form and really slow the circulation and cause complications. Ask your doctor who is managing you knee to check.
