: Bell's palsy recovers fully - even without treatment. Anti-inflammatory medication and even prednisone as well as antiviral medication (although there no real proof of benefit from antiviral medication). Physical therapy. Because the eye on the affected side doesn't close, it's important to take steps to protect and care for that eye. Using lubricating eye drops during day. Patch at night.

See a doc: usually facial palsy gets better.  in many cases though it doesnt conpletely recover.  first she should see a doc to be sure it is just facial palsy.

Not directly: Cerebral palsy is caused by injury to an immature brain. It typically occurs when a child is born early or has an event where they have inadequate blood suppply or oxygen to the brain for a signifcant length of time.

Bells Palsy: Bells palsy is only a diagnosis of exclusion, not a primary diagnosis especially if its the first time happening. 3 days is still early enough to begin treatment if other pathologies are sufficiently excluded to make idiopathic facial Nerve inflammation and compression the likely diagnosis. The starting Prednisone dose should be at least 60 mg for 3 days followed by taper to be effective. See ENT.

Depends: It depends on how severe your child's symptoms are.In general physical, ocupational therapy could improve quality of life.Ancillary epuipment such as crutches, wheelchairs etx are rather useful.There are medications to assist with issues like drooling, behavioral intervention, skills training, counselling  and above  understanding and not placing a handicap on your child.Treat him respect/love.

my child takes chloral hydrae for sleep he has cerebral palsy. is there concerns with this drug for long term use besides dependency affecting organs?

Yes. 25 mg/kg/day : of Chloral Hydrate given long-term  can ^ risk of central sleep apnea from CNS depression, obstructive sleep apnea from respiratory depression, aspiration pneumonia if given on a full stomach, diarrhea &amp; vomiting if not given with a full glass of water, adverse interactions with anti-epileptics like phenobarbital &amp; some other meds, liver &amp; kidney damage, drug dependence, etc. Please see comment.

i had what was thought to be a case of bells palsy (2 yrs ago) and this is still going on face falling on either side and pain, other symptoms: can't feel any medicine, change of personality, whole body pain, extreme pain in scalp, to name a few.

Palsy: As understand it you have face falling, but occurs on either side. This would be inconsistent with Bells Palsy. Recurrent neurological weakness could be sign of ischemic problem or perhaps a weakness like multiple sclerosis. It would be a good idea to see a neurologist.

Not yet: There is no specific medicine that can reverse paralysis.  There have been many clinical studies done for spinal cord injury, and there are putative substances that may slow the process, but nothing has been proven yet in a randomized phase iii placebo controlled trial.
