i was on glipirzide for a month and they think i'm having bad reactions to it with my breathing. i've stopped taking it three days ago, still having issues, how long before the drug is out of my system?

Diagnosis: Needs to be reviewed with your treating doc. Breathing issues are not common side effects for glipizide and its half life is estimated at hours in patients with normal liver and kidney function with effects that should not last more than 1-2 days even for extended release formulations. it is more likely that your breathing issues have a different cause that has to be further investigated.

Dysrhythmia: This irregularity of heart rhythm can be caused by different mechanisms like dropped beats seen in types of heart block or compensatory pauses after premature beats. The rhythm has to be identified by ekg  or,if necessary, by heart monitoring as an outpatient. A cardiologist is best qualified to evaluate and treat you. Appropriate tests will be ordered.

Common issue: Most fever in infants starts out as a viral illness & many will self heal.The normal effect of fever on breathing rate is to increase it by up to 5 breaths /min/degree.At two the regular rate range is 24- 40..It should not cause baby to look like they are struggling to breathe.As long as baby takes fluids well enough to pee every 6 hrs, home monitoring is ok, if not have eval.

Yes....: Pure oxygen will fry a specific part of your brain. Stick to breathing normal air which catties around 20% oxygen.

Breathing pattern: If he is growing and developing normally, without any air hunger, rapid breathing or upper airway noise, it is probably within normal variation in breathing pattern. 
If you notice snoring problems with his development, excessive sleepiness,  I would recommend an evaluation.

First and: Foremost, you need to quit smoking.  There are many medications available to you both to help you quit and to treat your asthma.

im having a hard time breathing. i've been on many psych drugs and i feel like they are responsible. can i stop all psych meds and return to normbreath?

Doubt it's psych med: Some meds -- such as older antipsychotic medications -- may cause dyskinetic movements that can affect breathing.  However, you're not on any of them -- only on clonazepam, a medicine for anxiety.  If stopped at all, it needs to be tapered & your doctor needs to help with this.  Please see your primary care doctor about your breathing issues, which are unlikely to be related to your psych meds.

what are the symptoms of premature baby "pauses" in breathing?

Apnea: Apnea is stopping breathing for about 15 seconds but premature babies do periodic breathing also(slow than fast then slow). The more premature the more likely to have some apnea. They do grow out of this.
