Acetaminophen is good for any, but non-steroidal inflammatory drugs have to be used with caution and G.I. protection with a proton pump inhibitor if on steroids. Opiods  safer on major medications for lupus such as biologics and chemotheirapy drugs.

Danger: Treating lupus with complementary medicine would have to be done by someone who is very familiar with lupus, not just complementary medicine as certain "healthy" supplements such as echinacea can worsen lupus. Also, delay in traditional medical treatment can be deadly in lupus kidney or brain disease. Try stress reduction, smoking cessation, a healthy diet, routine exercise, and avoidance of sun.

Usually a few months: After stopping the offending drug, of course.  Drug-induced lupus rarely is systemic and does not affect major internal organs.  It is usually diagnosed by finding antibodies to single stranded dna, not double stranded dna, as in sle.  Symptoms moderate with time, can be easily treated with low-dose steroids 5-10mg, and pain meds like naproxen. Joint problems are the most common problem, & fever.
