No alternatives: Unfortunately  stage  IV  lung cancer ,  with 10%   5  year survival rate , with life  expectancy of 10 months, should be  on proven methods,  to be in that   5 %  group to under go  chemo radiation and not to depend on unknown  unproven alternatives.

If your cancer is incurable and this is what you want to do with your remaining time, that is your business. For many, the last months are for closure, reconciliation, and fulfilling things you've dreamed of. This isn't the place to talk about marijuana for cancer patients.

No: Although herbal and homepathic medicine may help with some of the symptoms of the disease and the treatment, there is no evidence to support a herbal cure for lung cancer.  The standard of care therapy for best chance of cure for stage i and ii lung cancer is surgery, with a role for chemotherapy for stages ii-iv and radiation for stage iii and possibly IV (as standard of care). You can reduce your risk of cancer by adopting healthy habits: Eat a mostly vegetarian diet, avoid alcohol, tobacco and street drugs, avoid excessive exposure  to sun, get HPV vaccine, exercise 30 minutes each day, drink enough water so your urine is mostly colorless.

For certain subtype: If you have a certain subtype -i.e. Certain molecular abnormality -alk-1 fusion abnormality- the response could be dramatic. There is no benefit of this therapy  if you don't have the molecular abnormality.
