Fibrosis = scarring: Inflammation of the liver, as almost anywhere else in the body, often heals with scarring. Lose enough functioning liver cells to scarring & you get cirrhosis. A fibrosis score is typically calculated during liver biopsy (& some fancier liver imagings) to calculate how much damage a chronically inflammed liver has sustained, & its risk of failing /decompensating. Then you need a liver transplant.

HepaScore: If not liver biopsy, alpha2 macro globulin increase; a lipoprotein a1 decrease, ggt, bilirubin, hyaluronic  enzyme immunoassay;  sex and age factor in as well.

Liver injury, later: Not the hepatic fibrosis itself. Rather it is its complications like portal hypertension or eventually cirrhosis--gi bleed, ascites, fatigue,  liver enlargement, itching, abdominal symptoms, encephalopathy.

No: thyroid problems do not cause cirrhosis. you may have an autoimmune hepatitis leading to cirrhosis, which could be associated with thyroid disease.
There are many causes of cirrhosis, ask your doctor to test you, as most can be checked with a blood test.

It depends: on the extent of the fibrosis, the cause of the fibrosis, and your symptoms.  Fibrosis is essentially scarring and cannot be reversed.  Fibrosed lung does not exchange oxygen.  If mild, it may be due to an old inflammation/infection and require no treatment.  If ongoing or progressive, it could lead to  breathing difficulties, so you need to talk to your doc about what it means in your situation.

they say an early liver fibrosis is reversed (with no altered structure) once the underlying cause is removed. does the reversal of fibrosis happen itself or with the help of medicines? i mean, does the liver reverse the fibrosis itself?

: The liver to a great extent could self heal when the cause of injury is removed; it may take a few years however. The liver could regenerate without need of any medication.
